A gorgeous Catholic and Chinese wedding in San Diego by Carrie McCluskey Photography. The bride's wedding took place at the Immaculata Parish at USD in San Diego, CA. USD is the perfect location for a wedding since there are many places to take photos, such as under the purple flowering trees and the courtyards around the Founder's Chapel and the Kroc Center. The brides details were gorgeous with jade green bridesmaid dresses, ivory flowers and champagne touches. The ceremony was a full mass including communion and flowers to Mary with Ave Maria being sung. The couple headed over to La Jolla, CA to take bride and groom couples photos on the cliffs as well as the beach. We took most of the photos near the wedding bowl where many couples get married each year. They had a nice mix of traditional and more beach, free-flowing images with a modern edge. Their reception took place at the Pearl restaurant in Rancho Bernardo, CA. They had a large Chinese banquet for dinner, including dim sum and Bbq pork. The couple toasted each table, had first dance and ate dinner. The bride changed into her red, traditional Chinese dress and danced with her father, cut the cake and continued to dance with friends. This bride chose Carrie McCluskey Photography because Carrie has photographed many Catholic weddings at the Immaculata and loves to take images down at the beach.
Location: 5998 Alcala Park, San Diego, CA 92110.
