Welcome to my Blog!

I am a photographer of love and passion and hope to convey that in all the images I take. I have been photographing weddings for over ten years and have been so blessed to work with numerous wonderful couples year after year. I truly love what I do. Capturing some of the most important moments of people's lives gets me excited and inspired. I have been honored to receive the Best of the Knot award for 2008-2011 as well as Best Photographer of the Year by Bridal Insider. I'll be updating my blog with all the weddings I shoot along with all the engagement, family, and baby sessions throughout the year. Thanks for stopping by!


Kellie and Justin ~ San Diego Wedding Photography

Kellie and Justin were one of my favorite couples to photograph. They both are so much fun and easy going. They were married at St. Paul’s Lutheran in Pacific Beach and their reception was at Riverwalk Golf Course in Mission Valley.

Kellie and Justin were married last October but I thought I would blog it now, since I am finishing up their wedding album. All of the images here are going in the album so they are all on Kellie’s favorite list! I have to agree with her choices. The album layout looks great.

I love this “getting ready” photo with Kellie for so many reasons. It just captures the beauty and excitement of that time.

Much thanks to Jerry at Cloudbreak Films for being so awesome to work with that day. St. Paul’s has a very strict photography policy and it made it so much easier for me to work with Jerry who was willing to share all the secret shooting spots. :)

Gina and Paul ~ Balboa Park, San Diego Engagement Photographer

Gina and Paul’s engagement session at Balboa Park was fabulous! We lucked out with a beautiful day and lots of great light for photos. Before every engagement session I photograph, I email the couple a detailed list of tips that will make the session fun and more personal to each couple. One suggestion is
“Wear some color! Gone are the days where we need to wear matching white shirts and jeans! Rich colors look fantastic, plum purple, deep red, rich green…etc. You and your love should coordinate your colors without being too matchy matchy.”

I love the color yellow Gina chose also the boots she wore!

Kelsey and Matthew ~ Del Mar Engagement Photographer

I had such a fun time photographing Kelsey and Matt in Del Mar. Kelsey came up with the great idea of meeting at an Ice Cream Parlor for some engagement photos. She picked up the cutest flag sign on etsy that said “sweet love” to incorporate into the photo session and we did just that. After the photos at the ice cream place we headed on down to the beach for sunset. It was a gorgeous spring sunset, perfect for photos! Matt and Kelsey are so in love and had a great time with the session. They are getting married this Friday in Del Mar! We’ll be back at the beach for some photos followed by their reception at L’Auberge Del Mar.
